Softball Rules

Parking is free and please be mindful of your time. Our park is very large and it will take time getting from where you park to your field. Softball events will be run either out of UPMC All American Park in Trafford, or out of Renziehausen Park in McKeesport.

Please be courteous with the use of the cages, as we will have multiple games and tournaments running at once. Please have your players get their swings and move along promptly so all our teams have the same great experience you will have.

We will be charging a $5.00 cash per person fee per day at UPMC All American Park. Please make sure you tell your parents and coaches!!

No pets allowed at the park.

Three coaches per day allowed in for free.

For Specific Rules of our event, please follow USA softball rules.

Please send payments made out to All American Baseball 28 Stewart Station, Trafford PA 15085. OR pay on our website. Also, your rosters will need to be emailed to play@aab.network

We love youth softball and all it offers!!  All American reserves the right to ask people to leave based on their actions and/or verbal abuse of any All American colleague, fan, umpire, coach, and most importantly the players.  IF A FAN, COACH OR PLAYER ARE ASKED TO LEAVE BECAUSE OF THEIR BEHAVIOR, THE HEAD COACH WILL BE CONFINED TO THEIR BENCH FOR THE REMAINDER OF THAT GAME.  IF THERE IS A SECOND INCIDENT DURING THE TOURNAMENT THE HEAD COACH WILL ALSO BE ASKED TO LEAVE, NO SECOND CHANCES!!  This is a no tolerance policy.

Any ejection of a coach results in that coach being eligible, although not required, for a one game suspension to full tournament ban at the discretion of the tournament director.

There will be no alcohol permitted.

We are using September 1st as our age cutoff date per age group.

Please help keep the tournament fields and common areas clean and be sure to pick up all your team’s trash after the game.

Only 3 coaches are allowed in the dugout at any time. The head coach is the only one allowed to discuss issues with the umpire.

Pool play and playoff games are 75 minutes, finish the inning. Time begins as soon as the plate meeting ends.

Pool play can end in a tie. If the home team is winning after the top half of the inning and the time limit occurs, the game is over. If both teams are tied at the end of regulation, and the time limit has not expired, proceed to extra innings.

Tied games in playoffs after the time limit will use the International Tie Breaker. Championship games have no time limit.

Official Game

Games official after 3 innings (2.5 if home team ahead). Suspended games may be resumed. If a game should be called due to darkness, weather, etc. and it is the middle of an inning, then the game will revert back to the score from the previous inning if the 3rd inning has been completed (2 1/2 if the Home Team is winning). If there are ample game slots left, the game may be re-scheduled to resume.

The official game score will be the scorecards that are turned in by our umpires to the tournament Director.  It is the coach’s responsibility to make sure the score is correct prior to leaving the field of play.
